GPU is too big

hello everyone

So I bought a Sapphire r9 270x Toxic which is 308mm big. Problem according too pc part picker it did fit in a Thermaltake chaser A31 which I purchased too. Now today I started building and everything worked. I mounted everything and then I tried to put my GPU in there.

What happens....it just doesn't fit there....what is the best option I have right now?

It would seem you can remove one of the HDD racks to give you 410 mm of space. That should be adequate.

Are you able to remove the HDD cage ?

You can remove the upper HDD cages. According to the thermaltake website you should have 410mm clearance if you remove them.

Tried it doesn't work due my PCI Express 16x on the Asus M5A97 Evo R2.0 is just between the two lower bays....
