MSI Z97-Gaming 9 vs ASRock Z97 OC Formula

Want to upgrade and don't want to have to again for a while. This board would be for a new Intel Core i7-4790K Haswell 4.0GHz as well. Primary use would be gaming. Currently have 2 Nvidia 660's sli'd (will upgrade later unless sli not compatible with either board). Just want to know what you guys think want to crush those ultra settings.

Go with an i5 and get an ASUS board instead :)

ASRock over MSI IMO though.

You don't think the i7-4790k would be future proof for a while?

ASrock is better in the budget end, if you can afford it get something from Asus, but ASrock will do you well, the 4790K will be better for gaming, because it is clocked higher by default.

Of those two I'd go the Rock, but in that price range I'd take a look at the Asus Z97-WS, with your 660s in SLI, the WS is one of the few that offers X16/X16 for the cards where most simply offer dual X8, a lower cost alternative is the Asus Z97 Hero, picked one up at the release based on how good my Z87 Hero is (in sig), the Z97 is even better
