Xbox One Controller no longer turns on.

Things I have tried so far...

Using new batteries
Connecting via USB

The controller shows no sign of power what so ever, when I hold down the xbox button, the led doesn't even light up, it has become very frustrating. It all started after I dropped the controller, and the controller fell onto my carpet not too far from the ground. Since I no longer have any warranty, i decided to open the controller up and I saw no chips, or cracks. So right now I am really stumped, I have looked up videos and no one seems to have the same problem.
I can not connect to the xbox one console it self, the controller does not connect to anything including my PC

did it not work before you opened it up?

Did you download the xbox one controller drivers for your pc? http://support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/accessories/controller-pc-compatibility

It's odd that a drop onto carpet from a low height (but you didnt really specify distant) could cause any actual damage.

the controller worked for the first few months until i dropped it and it only fell from a couple feet doesnt work on my xbox or pc not even in general

Something must of broke from the inside if you can get it open and check it out.
