From 900p to 1080p. A huge jump?

Hi! Right now I own a crappy 17" LCD 900p monitor (exactly 1440x900). There's a cheap 22" 1080p IPS monitor where I live (AOC i2269vw). It's pretty decent, 60hz and 5ms response time.

The thing it's I don't know if it's worth it. Because some people say that the difference between 900p and 1080p isn't that much and that 150 dollars can be spent in a better case, mouse, CPU, keyboard etc...

My gaming RIG is an i5 4570 and the R9 280, it's pretty capable at 1080p but I know that at 900p I will get constant 60FPS or even more at Max settings.

What you guys recommend? I live in the dirty Mexico so that monitor is the only cheap decent option I have. Asus monitors cost more.

Thank you, and sorry for my bad taco english. :D

Great :) Now that i'm looking, is like 40% more pixels. What about the IPS panel? Is really that better in image quality?
