I want to upgrade to a GTX 770 or GTX 760 and get a 2nd monitor but I was wondering if it would stress or "choke" My CPU, My CPU is a:

i5-3330 @ 3.00 GHz Quad-Core

I also have 8 GB ram, Would this be fine to run high end games?

PS: If my i5 isnt good enought my MOBO only supports 2nd and 3rd gen proccessors so I dont want to change MOBO and CPU and then GPU and then buy another screen. If the gpu will stress my cpu then is there another good card for around $300? I currently have a 550Ti

If my friend has a AMD build with the same card will his run better as he has a AMD processor and I have intel? I will look into the 280x

Ok last questions, if I get the 290x would that still work? If I get dual monitors will it be ok? I have a 500watt power supply. Should I upgrade to a 600 to be sure? And if I get the 600watt will it always take up 600watts from the house or just when it needs it? Sorry for asking a lot I've been looking at what to buy
