Hey Toms forums.

I just bought the 840 EVO and after having some issues at first I was able to clone all my stuff from my 1TB Black WD HDD which was around ~150GB of transferring and deleted 50gb files, videos, music, Images etc afterwards that I didn't want in the SSD.

So my MAIN question is, how do I go on about using my HDD as a storage now so when I download things they get sent there instead. Because the OS is still installed if I'm not mistaken. Also when I open the HDD I get all the directory folders still(Program files, Program files(x86), Temp, Users, WIindows, etc..) So I have to navigate through all that to get to my original documents folder/videos/images etc, where I have my things that I use.

So what do I do here? Backup everything in the HDD and reformat it or something?(Unfortunately I don't have any external or portable HDD...) I still wan't to be able to install games in there as well, not demanding ones but maybe a few so my SSD doesn't fill up.

Thanks

the best way is to back up the files you want to keep and format the drive.the second best way is to manually delete all the files and programs you dont want.while a little tedious its not that hard.as far as setting download locations, that is done in your browser options.i have mine set to ask me where the download location is every time.
