Just wanna know, does the Asrock X79 Extreme4 support a 7970 3-way crossfire? Im wondering, because I'm getting another 7970, second-hand and want to know. The board does physically have 3x PciE slots, and the website says it does support 3-way CF and 3-way SLI, i just wanna know for sure, for mu 7970s, so i dont end up having to buy another board....

Thanks!

2-way crossfire still has scaling issue. 3-ways CF will be even worse

Well, i have Crossfire now and scaling is 85-90%, and absolutely no microstuttering, and I have this PC for a year and a half now so...

Does the mobo support Trifire or not? Please, I need to know urgently! :)
Thank you

The microstuttering issue is resolved now and probably scaling too.
3x 7970>290x, so why don't xfire two 290's?

For god's sake.
I have 2x 7970s, watercooled, I am getting a 7970 Matrix Edition for $180.
THE QUESTION IS:
Can I, or can I not, Trifire 7970s on an Asrock X79 Extreme4?
All help appreciated

Oh sry i didn't read your last post. Yes,it does. Your mobo has three pci-e 3.0 x16 slots(butter smooth) and is ready to deliver optimum performance.
Be sure to give more than nice watercooling.
