Probably a stupid question, but this is my first build and my ASUS Sabertooth 990fx R.2 has 4 PCIe x16 slots which two of them are crossfire compatible. I'm only using one GPU, so I was wondering if I could put my gpu in the seconds slot instead of up the top because my gpu would cover the PCIe x1 slot which I want to use for my soundcard and I also don't want the gpu above my soundcard because the heat from the gpu will be sent down to it.
