Yes, as long as the monitors support at least one of those connections.
Well I thought so too until just now, in trying to connect two monitors with my inexpensive (i.e. under $100) video card's two ports, one of which is DVI, the other VGA. Turns out, to my surprise this video card refuses to send a video signal through both of its ports at same time. I've set up and run dual monitors in the past using this same configuration (i.e. one to VGA and the other to DVI) with other inexpensive video cards and never encountered such a limitation. Well I guess it's off to the store to buy another inexpensive video card. (I cannot afford anything else.) I'll just have ditch the assumption that 'more than one video port' necessarily infers 'more than single monitor capable'.
