I have this computer and i recently bought a new video card, i have bought an R9 290, the first one I bought was the XFX DD Version, but then i got my computer restarting everytime i have installed the Video Card drivers. I have tried beta drivers and everything else, but it did not worked. I have sent back the Video Card and the store said it was faulty, I got a new one from Gigabyte. the same R9 290. but the same problem keeps happening. here is my pc Specs

Motherboard: AsRock M3A785GMH/128M
AMD Phenon II X4 945 processor.
4GB RAM
PSU: Corsair TX850M

Now running with a GTX630 and the R9 290 gets rebooting after driver installation.
Don't know what other problems might be.

Sounds like a driver problem to me.
There is no reason why that gpu and mobo should not work.

Yes, install your card properly and replug the pci-e power connectors.
A x4 945 paired with a 290?? That's a huge bottleneck.

Sometimes the cause is not the driver it`s self.

It is in fact due to when you install the driver it allows the full function capability's of the on board R9 GPU of the board.
By installing the driver the cards power usage increases, even at windows desktop.
And more so when playing, or attempting to play one.

The cause of his can be that you have a two phase extra power block on the board, eight pins in total for connector
But only have four pins connected, the two blocks of four are for two things.
One four pins is an extra voltage phase for the cpu.
And the other four pins are used to provide about 75w of power to the actual pci- slot of the board.

If you have connected the extra Pci-e power feeds from your PSU to the R9 card.
Then I suggest you check you have the eight pins requires also connected to your mobo from the psu also.
