Could i crossfire a HD 7870 XT (which i already Own) with a HD7870 GHZ edition?

my experience with crossfire/sli without watercooling is that your top card becomes very hot while intensive use you might consider selling your old gpu and buy a better one if you want better performance

The 7870XT is based on Tahiti LE chip (slightly crippled 7950), 7870GHz is Pitcairn based. So to answer your question, no you cant crossfire the two. However you can crossfire the XT with a 7950 if you can not find another Tahiti LE based card.
