I have an 21:9 Asus PB298Q 2560x1080 monitor i game on (crysis,bf,boarderlands 2,need for speed and many other games) i like my monitor, it may not be the best in ghosting, input lag and response time, but not so much that i want a tn panel with 120/144 hz and real response time of 5 ms or lower and virtually no input lag.

About 1 month ago i bought me a Dell U2414H and according to this review it is actually god for gaming, it's a very good allround monitor, except for a bit lower contrast then my asus monitor and that i can't adjust both monitors so it look the same, i am happy with it for what i use it for. http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2414h.htm.

For fun i was thinking about dell's U2713H as a replacment for my Asus monitor (if i was going to game on it i would need a faster gpu then my gtx 770 oc 4gb) but RTC overshot according to TFT central is a bit to high and inputlag is only in class 2 where the best are in class 1 (as my Dell U2414H). http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_u2713h.htm

Then i start thinking is there any decent big high performance ips monitor (27-34" minimum 2560x1440) that are decent for gaming with no noticeable input lag, ghosting and a very low response time, 120/144 hz tn panels are good for gaming but dosn't look as good as a ips,ah ips monitor (my monitor has a ah ips panel) but a ips monitor isn't as fast for gaming as a tn panel.

Can't think of 1 ips monitor i would like to buy if i was to upgrade to a bigger monitor, higher resolution or both, that i could game on with better then avarge gaming experience for an ips monitor, mabye the 34" lg 3440x1440 but haven't seen any professional reviews and it is so expensive, the 34" lg 2560x1080 might have to low resolution
