Hello, I've just bought a Fractal Design Define R4 and tried to install my HDD in it. I put it in one of the trays and tighten the 4 screws. However, the HDD is not exactly steady; it can still move to and fro in the tray if I push it. I haven't seen the HDD move while using the PC with the case open though. Should I leave it like this or have I done something wrong?

Thanks in advance.

Solution
I've never seen or heard of this before. In all my cases and my friends' and colleagues that I build for, that doesn't happen.

THe Fractal drive bays have a little tray. COmpare the one you're using with another one, see if it's empty. Can you post a picture?

Not that it matters much, the HDD won't really move unless you bump the case, and even then it will be fine.

Actually now the HDD is very noisy at times (but not always), presumably because it's moving in the tray, though I can't say for sure because it happened after I had put the side panel back. I'll open the case again and post a pic in a couple of hours (I'd rather not turn off the PC to remove the HDD right now).

I've figured it out. I did do something wrong and very silly: I put the screws into the wrong holes, while they should go into the circular pieces of rubber.

This is what I had done at first:

This is (what I think is) the right way to do it:

Thanks for your help!
