I just put together a new computer, from new parts and installed W7 Ult.

It says 3 days to activate is asking me to enter a product key, and the 25 digit code on the Envelope the DVD came in does not activate. I personally opened the Outer envelope 2 hours ago, that the inner one (which has they key) was on, so I'm sure nobody has seen it but me.

Am I missing something?

Make sure you verify the letters and numbers in the product key are entered accurately. Since the type is usually pretty small, you can mistake an 8 for a B, for example. I know I have done that before, as have others.

After putting in the product key, it takes about 60-90 seconds while it says the product key is being verified.

Then a Popup says:
"The product key you have entered does not appear to be a valid Windows 7 product key. Please check you product key, and type It again."


Once somebody else is up I will have them type it in too to try to eliminate user error.

Yes. 5X5 for a total of 25.

I will Have Somebody here verify i typed it all out correctly then Contact OutletPC.
