I am using stock cooler with AMD fx 6300.
These are the temperatures on it.
Doing nothing - 57 degree celsius
Watching a video/Opening 2 to tabs on chrome - 58 degree celsius.
Opening upto 14 tabs on chrome and other small apps running - 61 degree celsius.
Playing watch dogs after one hour - 82 degree celsius.
The fan is too loud and it gets very hot quickly.I can feel the heat from outside the case.
are these temperatures safe?
What is the problem? On other threads I've read that their fx 6300 won't reach 65 degree celsius while gaming.
Is there any problem with my cpu?
Please help me guys.

Wow, must be a Warrior. Failsafe at 63°C and it keeps on trucking to 82°C.

How many intake / exhaust fans do you have in your case?

You'll definitely need an Aftermarket Cooler with those temps.

Or

You can try re applying your thermal paste.

yea that is hot try a few staps:

1. do a cleanup in your pc, also take your videocard out and make it clean ( best solution is probely to buy a few cans of air dustener or something similar.
2. have a good airflow in your pc. if you don't now how to do it you can just google it.
3. try some good cablemangement

this should reduce the heat

Cooler master hyper 212 evo is a good cheap solution, at 34.99 on Newegg it will provide enough cooling performance for your budget range.

Get some arctic silver 5($8.99) wipe off the existing paste with some 99% isopropyl alcohol and apply a bead about the size of pea to the cpu surface.

And if you don't have any Intake or exhaust fans in the case that will definitely be a problem. Cooler Master provides a 4pc 120mm fan value pack at only $15.99. That should provide your case with ample enough airflow to keep everything cool.

where are you getting those temp readings?

the cpu shuts itself down at 80c. And it throttles down at 70c.

You need to download temperature software like hwmonitor, amd overdrive, or coretemp to find the core/package temp.

Okay something is wrong. Minimum/idle core temp should be anywhere between 10-30c

TJ max is the shutdown temp, yours says 83c.

You can see your cpu has already throttled down at 73c. It's trying to save itself.
Look at the Frequency, it's showing 2500 and 3000 for some cores.

How old is your machine? If it's a few months old or older, you might have buildup of dust in the heatsink. Remove the fan and clean the heatsink with a Q-tip or something.

Check to make sure the heatsink is mounted properly and is tight.

You can also leave the side of your case open and use a house fan to push air in. Then check temps.

And try turning off turbo core.

Then check/ reapply new thermal paste.

If all that still fails, then the cpu is defective. AMD should replace it.
