Hello guys im getting a new gpu for my pc
here are all my pc specs http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-68844

i know that it is not good but i don't need to play games at superb high res on it
Mostly i use it to do some 3d project and sometimes i play games a mid resolution
The gpu i was look at is the GT730 GDDR5

i wanted to ask since my mobo does not support pci 2.0 will it take the speed down a lot from the gt630

thanks

Solution
That motherboard is pretty old, upgrading to the 730 would definately bottleneck it. If you can give me your full pc specs maybe I can help out a bit more. But otherwise I would save that money and invest in a new build.
Gt630 is not very good for anything requiring a lot of graphical power, as it doesn't have any. But provided you are ok with that you'll be fine. PCI-E won't be an issue.

HOWEVER - you only have a 280W PSU, I think that any new GPU would be a risk as that PSU will have aged and might be more like a 250W PSU now. But if anything was going to work a 630 would be one of them.
