Pretty much what the title says. Need to buy a new mobo asap after finding out the one I bought is not compatible

MSI H97 PC Mate

i5 4690 Devils Canyon processor.

No it would need a bios update.

Some boards can update bios without a CPU but I do not think the B85 G41 PC Mate can. You would have to ask MSI directly to be sure.

Thanks for all your help friend. Ended up getting an MSI h97 gaming 3 mobo. at a 37 quid increase! hoorah
