Is it my gfx card or something else?

So my monitors do not recognise anything being plugged into the other side of their cable. I hit the power switch on the PC. All the fans spin. I can feel the harddrive going. The green lights on the back of the GFX card are glowing. But neither screen recognises there being anything plugged into their cable. Also another thing. Holding the power button as long as you can will not force shut off the PC. I don't know where the issue lies...but I'm sure it's not the PSU, fans, or hard drive. The computer was running just fine for 6 months before this incident. So I doubt its anything like a cable or a temperature thing.

Did this problem just accure after night? I've just had the same issue. If it happened in game your system may have overheated. If you can, try a different GPU to see if its the system or the graphics card.

I went biking for 1/2 he and came back to a black screen that wouldn't wake my c computer. No games were going. Only a virus scan and an instance of ccleaner. There is no opportunity for overheating because my card stays under 70 even doing something like mining.

It could be either you GFX card or it could be your motherboard. Try to use another GFX card if you have one laying around. If not try using your GFX card in another mobo or a another PC. It is either the mobo or the GFX card.
