Power supply for crossfire

I have a vapor x r9 290x and would like to get another for crossfire. The recommended power supply for one of these cards is 750w, so does that mean I need at least a 1500w power supply to run both cards?

750W is the recommended wattage for a full system including one R9 290X. For crossfire, about 1000W will suffice.

No a good quality 1000 watt or maybe even 850 will do the job.

That card can use ~330w under full load. I'd suggest a good 900-1000w PSU. Here's a very good 1000w unit

Good quality 850W with no overclocking should be fine

If you are overclocking then a 1000W would be highly recommended
