hello.......
I have an WD Elements, External Hard drive 1.5 TB. My System configuration is, Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4 GB RAM, 1 TB Hard disk, with Windows 7 Ultimate, 32 bit OS.
When i connect my external HDD to my system it gets detected in device manager but doesn't open or appear in my computer.
In device manager it shows "not initialized". and when i try to initialize it, is says "cannot be initialized due to some i/o device error. but my external HDD gets recognized and opens in other systems. what should i do? Please Help me..........

Solution
Most likely the hard drives have gone bad for what ever reason.

Download the Crystal Disk Info in my siganature and run it. See if it shows the 1.5TB while its conencted and post back if it says Good, Caution or Bad
