yes if u get bottleneck for using pci 1.1 its not big its 5 - 10% at max ....and no the difference is not 2x...250 has a slightly little more clock speed except that i will say they are neck to neck ....u can go for 730..

i was thinking about the gt730 GDDR5 too
is this card way more powerful than the gt730
i have an old cpu , it is a core 2 duo 2.3ghz so im sure it will bottleneck the R7 250 alot

no its not way ahead of gt 730 they are both entry level cards...and no 250 is not that powerful card to be bottle necked by your processor and i think 250 can run on a 17A and a 400W PSU minimum...so if u have a 400 watt or above psu then there will no problem..

ill go for the 730 since it has the cude cores too and it is nice to have them for 3d and video editing
ill also overclock a little the 730 in the future if it let's me
and do u know if with this card i can play at 1280x1024 res at low-medium most games?

yes i think so.... i have a mutual friend who have a 250 and he had played ac 4 black flag in high settings with shadows turn off vsync off and mssa to 2x and get 30 to 35 fps so i think with 730 u can play many games at medium settings and some demanding games at low...
