I'm trying something that seems very uncommon in the world of raid (or im not searching right) And it's giving me alot of trouble.
Basically what im trying to do is create a Raid 5 Array with 3, 1 TB drives which will be used for general storage needs.
And have windows boot off of a Samsung 840 pro.
the problem is when i create the raid my system flags the array as a boot able device and doesn't boot.
Is this configuration possible? It seems like it would be easy to set-up but i have not found anything detailing how to do this. ( i have checked and read over my manual )
My motherboard is the Maximus VII Hero and what im using to configure the raid.
I've just updated the Bios to the latest version.
