Having boot issues

Hey all. I consider myself minorly proficient with computers, but I am unsure here. Recently, my computer stopped waking up from sleep. The power button would continue to flash, but the computer wouldn't do anything. Unplugging it was the only solution. But even then, it had to remain unplugged for roughly 30 minutes. If unplugged for less than that, when I plugged it back in, again the power button on the front would light up when pressed, but the machine wouldn't boot, not even to bios. I opened it up and checked connections, cleaned out some dust, etc. Took out the GPU and cleaned it up, took out the mobo battery for a few minutes. Put it all back and tried again, now I have no light on the power button. I don't know if a failing PSU was the problem to begin with, since I had lights and all. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks
