Graphics Card Problem

Hello

Ive got a problem with my GPU...

So today I got a new monitor: BenQ GW2760HS 27''
And when I installed it everything was fine. But after 2-3 hours. The screen went nuts.
It showed vertical lines with 2 colors. Everytime it happend the colors where diffrent.
It didnt do this with my old monitor: Atec NeoView 18.1''

The BenQ is Connected with HDMI.
It only happens when im gaming or try to go to youtube or watch any video.
Please HELP me.

What drivers do you have for your GPU, did you install the Driver Disk that came with the GPU? or did you download a later version?

Try connecting them with DVI instead & see if that makes any difference.

Yes I installed the driver disk. My GPU is an: XFX Radeon HD7870 Double Dissipation

Vic 40 :

It did alwys work with the old one. Never had it. When the lines appear. The whole machine hangs and I need to hold the power button until the pc is off

The CD that comes with the 7870 will have outdated drivers on it. So get the latest drivers directly from AMD's website.

I am downloading it now. But I have one question, In the CCC i can look for driver updates and it says that its up-to-date. Last Update: Wednesday, July 9 2014

So that confuses me but im going to do the driver download thing

It would only be up to date when you updated it and you say that you installed from the cd.
So did you update? Or did you get the latest from amd instead of installing from the cd? Which catalyst version is it displaying?

I downloaded it form the website like Scampi said. The version from that is: 14.10.1006-140417a-171099C
It hasnt happend since (the screen thing) but I'll wait another 48 hours to see what happens
