Chipset drivers help

Do chipset drivers affect your performance? I have an asrock 970 extreme3 r2.0 motherboard and I can't find any chipset drivers on AMD's or asrock's sites. Can I use some other manufacturers chipset drivers? Like this gigabyte board for example: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4395#dl

BTW I have an fx-6300 if it has any affect.

No do not use gigabytes. What is your OS and is it 32 or 64 bit?

Windows 8.1 64 bit but i think i already found the driver on amd's website. link: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/chipset?os=Windows+8+-+32

No they are not amd drivers they are Asrock go here http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/970%20Extreme3%20R2.0/?cat=Download&os=Win8a64

Download all the files in the drivers section and install them.

Yeah I have installed every driver on that page. Are they combined the chipset drivers or what?

That is every driver you need for your motherboard u dont need anything else windows update will download everything else automatically.
