Can'tt format my computer

So my cousins brought me their computer so i can format them but if i put my usb with the w7 that i used on my pc the screens stays black, if i try with cd, the computer trys to go on but he can't

When you say format, are you talking about wiping the disk or something?

i didn t do it yet because the computer doens't read the usb drive

the problem is the boot manager is compressed and i need to do this otherwise i can t do anything

if it really old, it probably won't let you boot from usb.
