yes it will be fine ....your card needs 40amp at 12+ volt and it has 45 amp at 12+ volt

How reliable is this PSU http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095 compared to the XFX. My brother is looking for a cheap and reliable PSU thats Fully Modular so he doesnt have to deal with useless cables.

It depends on what you want to do. IMO, the XFX is a bit better because it has a single +12V rail while the SS has 2. It also has 2 6+2 pin PCI-E connectors while the SS has 1 6+2 and 1 6 pin.
