Hello guys,

For my PC I want a very silent PSU. Probably the corsair RM-series. With the 750 watt version the fan probably never starts, but I don't know if that is good for the PSU. I think it is worth the €15 ($20) for complete silence but only if it isn't bad for the insides of the PSU.
I don't have my GPU yet but my other components are:
- Case: Fractal Design Define R4;
- CPU: i5 4670k;
- Motherboard: ASUS Z97-PRO;
- HDD: 1 TB 7200 rpm;
- SSD: 120 Sandisk V300;
- RAM: Crucial Ballistix 2 x 4 GB (1600 cl 9).
- CPU-cooler: Cooler Master 412S.

Thanks in advance for replies.

Regards,

Toine

Wow, thanks for those fast replies, this forum always amazes me.
I might go for the RM650 but I did hear those negative words about the capacitors. The EVGA Supernova G2 is more expensive in the Netherlands (where I'm from) and I was pushing my budget with RM750 (the G2 is €120 ($160)). It is a pity there isn't a 650 watt version of the G2 because I would like the EVGA quality. Is there a PSU which comes close to the quality of the EVGA? If not, I will stretch my budget.
