Hey,

I just build my PC today and connected my 1080P monitor that I usually use for my PS3 to my new PC. The problem is the picture quality is really bad. My monitor is connected with a new HDMI 1.3 cable I just bought. Text has like a white layer and the mouse to. All the Icons look low quality and it looks all blury. I updated my GPU (R9 290) to 14.7 after I first uninstalled the software that came with the card. How do I fix this?

Thank you.

What's the make and model of your monitor? Most likely your monitor only has one specific 'Native Resolution' that it really likes to display images at. There will be other resolutions that your monitor displays well at as well. Let me know the make and model of the monitor and I'll do the research for you, otherwise search your monitor's manufacturer's name, the model of the monitor and the words 'Native Resolution'.

Never mind, never mind. I got it! I searched for Samsung Syncmaster P2370HD can't do 1080 and found a thread and someone said you have to rename the HDMI to PC. Now I have wonderful quality!

Thanks!
