Where did th HD7970's go?

Is it just me or did the 7970 disappear? I was about to buy one last January and they just poof got..gone. The r9 290 and 280 are ok but I think the 7970 was much better in a lot of respects. I can find them here and there but they are $150.00 more than they were back in Jan. Conspiracy?...lol I'll call Scully, you call Mulder

how are the 7970's better in a lot of respects? it is the same card as a 280X.

The prices will have shifted due to bitcoin probably.

The HD 7970 was replaced by the HD 7970 Ghz Edition, and the HD 7970 Ghz Edition was replaced by the Radeon R9-280X
