it's summer and it´s hot i will admit i made a stupid choice getting this tower in the summer but oh well. what to do it's so pretty tho!

i got myself some new stuff a in-win 904 and a gigabyte R9 290 for my system with the 904 i also got myself a Corsair 140MM fan and a cooler master blade 92mm fan, i got it all set up and the systems runs, no problem there but it's a tad on the hot side and yes i do realize that buying the 904 maybe wasnt the greatest decision cooling wise but is there any way i could make my build a little bit cooler?

My system is.

Mobo: Asus M599FX EVO Rev 2.0

CPU: AMD phennom ii x6 1090T
CPU cooler: Cooler master TX3

GPU: Gigabyte R9 290 Windforce

8Gb 1886 ghz kingston ram.

120GB kingston v300 SSD
1TB HDD

Seasonic 750 80+ silver.

then i would be left with one 92mm fan to exhaust all the hot air with no intake, is that clever?

Your big problem is the 92mm heatsink on the CPU, the TX3 is too small to do well. A Hyper 212 Evo does about 12.8C above ambient in the frosty tech testing while the TX3 did 22C so you can drop your ambient temps by 10C simply by getting a normal sized heatsink since the Hyper 212 has 70% more surface area, so thats one way to get your CPU temps down a fair amount. GPU temps are a bit harder to do.

Also, how hot is hot? Provide real numbers so you know how much you need to get them down by.

i cant get a evo the only real solution for my CPU is water cooling since my case doesnt support more than 145mm coolers the temps are about 45C idle with the CPU and 50-60 idle for the GPU the gpu doesnt bother me much tho on load it doesnt go past 78c and after all it's a hawaii chip they get quite hot

again...

i tried to tell you your cpu cooler is too small. and you did not listen.

liquid and radiator heat is far less heat being put into your case vs that crappy tx3

Iknow the tx3 is crappy but like i also said, im sitting with a limited ammount of fans in my system one 140mm intake and one 92mm exhaust i will get the corsair h60 but then again i will have to get rid of my 92mm exhaust and my GPU is dumping allot of heat into my case so will that benefit me allot?

I do get your point of getting the h60 meaning my CPU wont dump hot air into my case and therefore everything should run cooler, i think ill take your advice:)

and since i'm curious.

you should look into aftermarket vga coolers for that 290.

so get like a h50 and a kracken g10. that makes your gpu core touch the heatsink of the h50, effectively water cooling the 290. this will take away A LOT of heat away from your other components. this is probably better than water cooling that cpu

True, but that will void my warranty ;( iknow it's not that expensive

Dont know why it's in bold either lol.

Well the CPU is sometimes 75c on load and no im not overclocking,

The gpu is about 73-80c that's fine tbh for a 290, so i guess the H60 is a good idea after all?
i also want to note, you are saying i should get a after market cooler, i do have the non reference windforce version and sadly i did some reseach and the kraken wont be any good on a R9 290 since the vrms arent getting cooled enough sure the core is cold but the rest is nearly melting lol

haha bye bye vrms and memory :D

Ya. get a h80i or something. H80 i is nice and thick and comes with 2 sp120s on it. good value for the money

The H80 is too thick ish for my case i dont want it to be mounted outside the case, my tower is let´s call it unique with sucky cooling, so will a H60 be enough i dont plan on overclocking right now =)
