*SOLVED* My 8 core CPU only showing 4 cores?

EDIT: SOLVED--- re installed windows and all was well



CPU: amd FX 8120

A while ago i was having overheating problems, so i disabled 4 of my cores hoping to relieve some heat (didnt work)

but now i am water-cooled and cannot figure out how to get my 4 other cores back.

SOLVED

Re-installed windows (or rather went from win7 to win8 and i have 8 cores again

when i look in bios it says

cores 3 and 4 = enabled

cores 5 and 6 = enabled

cores 7 and 8 = enabled


(it says nothing about one and two but even if those where disabled i would still have 6 cores according to the above info right?)
