So a few days back I bought a new PC. I'm 90% sure that like 2-3 days back when I checked it said that the PC has 4GB ram installed (I bought 2x2GB kit). But my pc was lagging like hell, so I started to search for the problem and noticed that windows says that it has only 2GB installed. I went into BIOS and it said the same. I even did MemOK test and it also said that it has 2GB installed. I tried putting RAM in A1 and B1 chan, I also tried A2 and B2, A1 and A2, B1 and B2, A2 and B1, A1 and B2 but none of them worked. What's strange is that when I put both kits into single channel (A1 and A2 or B1 and B2) my PC doesn't boot at all. If I click MemOK switch, I see the red led blinking and the PC is running, but it doesn't boot.

I also tried putting only single kit into every channel - both kits worked, so RAM isn't the problem.

I also updated my BIOS to the newest version - that didn't solve the problem.

Btw when I go to the BIOS into memory configuration and my RAM is inserted into for example A2 and B2 slots, in BIOS it says that Dimm0, Dimm1 and Dimm2 is not present, but Dimm3 is 2048MB. That's very strange, too.

So guys, do you have any ideas what the problem is? I guess either my MB has some kind of defect or I need to set something in the BIOS settings?

Problem solved: I tried putting one kit in A1, A2, B1, B2 sockets and it worked fine, but the other kit didn't work in A2 and B2, so I tried to put it in A1 and for some reason it started working. So I put the 2nd kit in B1 socket and now I have 4GB ram. That was a mystical problem, but I'm glad I solved it lol.
