So earlier today my laptop quite literally stopped connecting to my wireless signal completely. I have a Sony Vaio installed with Windows 8 and I have an AT&T router. I had been using it previously and had no issues but after leaving it for somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes and when I returned it had a yellow triangle over the wireless signal and limited access. Now while I had tweaked a few setting on the router that had been at least half an hour before this occured and using another laptop I reverted it back to all of its original settings. I looked a little bit at it but when I looked it simply says it's Identifying and never goes any further than that. Now then no other device in my home has this problem and I have tried to reset the router but to no avail. Aside from this I have tried a system restore and it hasn't helped as well as restarting and re-installing my wireless adapter but neither helped. I haven't been able to test this out on any other wireless network but it works just fine if I connect it directly with an ethernet cable.

Also while I'm unsure if it has anything to do with it I've noticed that if I go to the networks page(clicking the wireless symbol on bottom right side of screen) and hover the mouse over the connection it says its type is 802.11n which from a few attempted fixes I've found have mentioned going into the configuration for the adapter and turning this type off but my adapter doesn't even have it listed at all.

Sorry if I missed anything but I have never needed to search for help on a site like this so I have no experience with what all I need to provide but anything you can do to help would be appreciated.

Solution
Step 1: Goto your wireless adapter properties.
Step 2: Click on ipv4 and then on properties.
Step3: Make sure obtain dns automatically is checked.

Still not fixed? Now right click my computer, device manager, open network adapters and uninstall your wlan driver. (Note the model before uninstalling)
Download the latest driver for your adapter from manufacture's website with the correct model you noted before.
Restart and check.
