Hey all. My new computer has a terrible psu. My old CPU has a delta dps-460cb 460w (12v/31.5amps) and I'm wondering if this psu will properly power my (low quality) PC.

Gtx 750 ti (70w)
Gigabite mobo(40w)
And fx 4130 (125w)
Dvdrw (25 w?)
WD 1TB hdd (10w?)
2x ddr3 4gb ram (?w)

I'm really new to electronics and computer optimizing but I'm curious if I absolutely need a new PSU with this few things in my PC?

Sorry for spelling errors, I'm on mobile while my PC's are down and open. Thank you for any help and any explanations that can help me learn.

It should work, and RAM only uses about 5 Watts per stick.

Thanks guys. So its safe to say this delta PSU will actually handle 370 watts or so or is it rated wrong?

If it's a terrible PSU then having it that close to it's maximum rating might not be safe. If you can, buy a good Rosewill 80+ PSU.

Well when I said my new psu is terrible I wasn't meaning the delta. To be very clear my new builds psu was a diablotek 400w (12v/22amp) that someone else on here said would ruin my hardware. The delta psu is from my older computer. I'm looking to use it to power the new specs that I listed. Is the delta dps-460cb too bad to trust with that hardware?

It looks really cheap, buy this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... It is much better.

Thanks for the tips and help. Ill just buy a new psu at a local shop that is bronze+ certified. That psu looks good but maybe I could find cheaper that doesn't have 2 Pci 6 pin connectors as I can't use em. If anyone has suggestions ill keep checking back... thanks again guys, its reassuring to have confirmation that some things just suck and shouldn't be bothered with!
