Maximus VII Hero issues

Hey everybody.
I'm trying out the Qfan tuning, but for some reason it keeps maxing the CPU FANs to 100% and the dots signifying thermal checkpoints wont move in manual mode. I cant bring the dots down from 100%, it's like they're stuck.

What type of fans and are they 2 pin, 3 pin or........

All the fans are affected.
PWM and DC.
I can't pull their fan duty checkpoints down.

Do you have the latest BIOS and mobo drivers?

Not quite sure how to, and the guide says to ignore bios updates unless it really matters.
It's not a big problem, just annoying.

BIOS updates aren't the big deal they used to be, just follow the directions and all should be fine

Whenever updating the BIOS, NEVER do it in Windows. Do it in the BIOS. The BIOS file MUST be on a FAT32/16 flash drive. You might as well unplug the hard drives as well. Your settings WILL be lost whenever you flash the bios, so backup your settings to a flash drive before you do flash.

I'll see what I can do.
Still skeptical on the bios update flash, because people who've updated this mobo had it become defective until reflash to the old one.
