Try checkdisk/r on it.

Do a virus scan on it.

Try MiniTools on it.

Running Vista, did virus scan, did check disk (says device is running properly). Was able to transfer files initially, but after plugging in again my computer will not recognize and says file is corrupted. Drivers are up to date. E;/ drive said 'Simpletech' initially but now just says E: drive..Local Disk...
