apu cant render video?

Please clarify, are you rendering or playing video? Rendering could be bringing temperatures up enough for thermal throttling to kick in depending on your cooling.

well thats a bit hard to tell, the thermal margin is like.. 61.1c, and hwmonitor shows above 200f commonly, an unreliable reading. and my cooling is an am3+ socket (fm2+ is the same dimensions) arctic freezer a30, deisgned for up to 320 tdp, i think. needless to say my FX-6300 couldn't get hot enough for thermal throttling, running at 4.7ghz.
