Definitely PC, Xbox One and PS4 are limited to the games they have got for their platform. The PC has a HUGE library of games. PC's are also upgradeable on the hardware side and also tend to be faster than Xbox One and PS4 (depending on your budget) So my answer would be go for PC and maybe get like a pre-owned Xbox 360 if you like console gaming

Get a PC first, then if you can afford an Xbox
between xbox and ps the only difference are the exclusives, the other differences are small (but usually enlarged by fanboys)
PC vs Consoles = if you do not want ultra graphics and such, then an xbox is good for casual gaming (someone plays with them hardcore too but eh...)
so PC is more versatile, fun, cooler looking, powerful, loads of cheap games but if you want to get home from work, race 2 laps then shoot some more with small hassle then consoles might be the way to go

Augmentations

Improved Hyper212 cooler for the overclockable CPU ($30)
Fast 120GB SSD to replace or accompany existing HDD ($75)
Additional 4GB stick of RAM to take the 4GB/single to 8GB/dual channel ($40)

This is for those who want an awesome PC gaming experience while spending the same or less than they would on a PS4 or XBox One. Considering that both next-gen consoles have significantly less processing power than this build (especially when you look at real-world gaming performance), this PC will have you absolutely set. You can run it at higher resolutions, higher detail levels, and higher framerates than the equivalent so-called "next-gen" consoles. Also, since it's a PC, you have the freedom to adjust your settings accordingly (for example: if you want 120FPS, you can just lower the graphical settings or resolution to something like a console (or even lower if you really wanted to). The Athlon X4 offers more than enough CPU power for modern gaming, sometimes even coming within arm's reach of an i5-4670k.

Good next gen crusher but it's worth spending a little more to get a better bang for buck pc. The Athlon isn't that great of a cpu but is the best for around $80
