I've installed my new ASUS R9 280X graphics card and all of its drivers correctly, but when I boot my computer, nothing shows on the monitor. I know the rest of the computer is hooked up correctly because if I remove the graphics card and boot without it, everything works fine. I am using an HDMI cord. I have an Inspiron 620 motherboard and it supposedly turns off onboard video off automatically (you cannot do it from the boot menu). I think that pretty much covers what's going on, but if you need more info let me know.

same with lots of people also, 1) select the input manually on the monitor if a little icon in the corner of the screen says analog, or no signal.

2) check BIOS that the graphics adapter is set to Your PCI-E slot in use, do this when running integrated graphics then plug the monitor HDMI cord into the card.

1) doesn't work because I'm having to use a TV as a monitor because my old monitor only has VGA and DVI (card doesn't have VGA and I don't have a DVI cable)

2) doesn't work because as long as the card is installed on the motherboard, nothing comes up on the monitor
