Every time i open up a game i hear a coil whine from my computer and my monitor buzzes too. im thinking it could be from my graphics card. how would i know if it is my gpu or my power supply making the noise instead? is there any type of way of distinguishing it besides putting in a new power supply?

i have a evga gtx 780 ftw w/ acx and a evga g2 750w

I do believe coil whine can only come from the PSU. However, you can certainly figure this out. take the roll from a paper towel roll of paper (or make one from stiff paper. Hold it to your ear and then move the other end over the various components. You should get a clear indication where the noise is coming from.

Some graphics cards whine too. Pull the covers off your pc and listen carefully.

When i got my first 780 it would whine really loud under load, I actually ended up changing it because it didn't go away after a few months like some people say it can.
