Keyboard problem! (First boot)

I'm starting up my custom pc for the first time and everything turns on than it says can't connect keyboard than shuts off after 15 seconds and none of the USB ports work any help?

using the front or rear usb ports??? if the rear ports try using the blue or black usb 2.0 ports. also make sure just the keyboard is plugged in. sometime to may devices can pull to much power from the usb ports at post. also it rule out a bad device. if your mb an asus mb look at the last 4 numbers on the mb serial number and then lok online under asus support for your motherboard and bios files. the last 4 numbers is the bios rev. if it old and your mb has the asus usb flashback tool use it to update the bios file.if it not asus mb and your using a gaming keyboard it may be a bios issue or the keyboard pulling a lot of voltage. try anther keyboard.
