I have reviewed many of the published answers to the Floppy Diskette Seek failure. Currently I have done the following:

1)removed the floppy diskette from the boot sequence, ( as well as all other drives except for the SATA Hard disk drive.

2)Ran hard disk drive system diagnostics - which it passed, no apparent issues there.

3) Opened up the computer and disconnected, then reconnected all the cables linking all the drives to see if there might be a problem with the connection.

Still though I continue to get the Floppy Diskette Seek failure. For your information I do not have a floppy diskette in the computer. The computer does boot up after hitting the F2 button as requested but this is annoying.

I am currently left with the feeling that there is a problem with the ribbon cable inside the computer.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Solution
Access your BIOS and disable the floppy controller. That will solve the issue. If your settings won't save, then your motherboard battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced.

Good luck!
