Hi, I just built myself the first gaming destop, been a long time laptop user. The system specs are as follow:
CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1231v3
Mobo: Gigabyte Z97X gaming 3
Ram: Crucial Ballistik 1600Mhz
SSD: PNY Optima 240GB
VGA: Asus R9 280 DirectCUII Top
PSU: Fractal Design tesla R2 650W
OS: Windows 8.1
Everything worked just fine the fist time I booted up, but then I noticed very high average response time in the task manager. I tried all the tweaks I found and it got a little bit better but the speed was still extremely low ( 60MB/s sequential read and 47MB/s sequential write in AS SSD benchmark)
I checked AHCI was enabled from start, newest BIOS updated, changed SATA port, I even reinstalled Windows but still no luck.
any helps and suggestions will be highly appreciated.
