Hi Guys,

Recently I built a new computer with my girlfriend and the motherboard we went with was the Asus Maximus VII Ranger. The top right of the motherboard shows a Q-Code on an LED and we are constantly wondering what the codes mean. I've tried to Google and also searched both the Asus and ROG websites but can't find a list or guide for what each code means. I've also looked over the user manual multiple times, definitely no mention of what Q-Codes are.

Does anybody know where I can find a list of what each Q-Code means?

You could you know...look in your user manual. The q-codes are in there. Perhaps don't post a topic being lazy without doing your own due diligence first. (How do I know they have them in there? I have a Maximus Gene VI/VII and their in there)

You could also do everyone a favor here and at least state what Q-codes you're seeing. For example the 'A0' code is normal and it essentially means everything is all clear.

OK so it turns out the PDF hadn't loaded enough pages when I tried to do a ctrl+f and searched "code" yesterday. It was only finding 3 instances of the word but now it's finding the rest and you were all correct, there's a long table listing every code (exactly what I was looking for).

It would be nice if the TOC had a line for Q-Codes, but really this is my fault for not scrolling through the pages one by one. I don't even understand how I missed the list in the physical manual after going through it 3 times...

Taken from the Asus Maximus VIII Hero manual (https://fast.ulmart.ru/manuals/3565565.pdf):

"The Q-Code LED design provides you with a 2-digit error code that displays the system status. Refer to the Q-Code table on the following page for details."

There are 5 pages of Q-Codes in the manual, all in chapter 1.
