Hey,
My old monitor had gone hay wire and so I was looking for a new monitor under Rs 10000 (around $165) for gaming. I have come down to two monitors both of which come under my budget :
Dell S2240L
AOC I2269
I need your help in deciding which one would be better for me. Also please suggest me if there is a better monitor.

Thank you.

You can go to dell forums or contact dell and explain these brightness/screen press issue. Remember always test displays in dark rooms (i.e. only the monitor screen should be on with all other lights turned off for more accurate results). Dell has excellent support, you won't be dejected.

Hey bro, I am really sorry for replying after so much time. Because of service issues, I went for the Dell and rejected AOC but to some extent, I am not happy. I came from an 18 inch so it does look big and all but the colours weren't that great or anything. They were good, I mean they were fine. It looks fantastic but the build quality is not so great. You press the screen around the border and it simply goes in. Not that it causes any trouble but still. The image sharpness and brightness is not the same throughout. The brightness is more in the bottom right corner and as for sharpness, it is fantastic at some places but at other places, it is simply not. There is a lot of aliasing. Even in the best resolution videos and movies. Anyone considering this should definitely try other monitors and compare them side by side. But then there is also one thing, we are talking about under 10k. Maybe I just set my expectations too high.
Anyway, thanks a lot mate.
