Xms Profiles corsair vengeance pro 2400Mhz cl11 v1.5 RAM

Hey,

I have a Sabertooth z97 Mark 1 Mobo (official max. 1866Mhz) and an i7 4790K(official max. 1600Mhz)
If I use 2400Mhz RAM with the xms profiles, will it bust both my warranties?

Well but it does change setting for the cpu too, so it technically overclocks wich would be the same as running it above intel suggested specs, so that would void my warranty?!

RAM can never overclock your CPU and doesn't change any settings for it! Beside that, your CPU is a K model and is made for overclocking experiments.

Yes I understand that. But if the mobo uses 1866Mhz(although its 2400) at stock and the Cpu runs on 1,5v. If I use the xmp profiles to use the 2400 at 1.65v the mobo and with it the xmp profile will have to adjust cpu voltage aswell to something more than 1,5 +/- 5% as is stated in the specs and that would void the warranty wouldnt it? I need to know cause I need to keep that warranty!

The worst things that will happen if you overclock your RAM is that you make it unstable enough to corrupt your OS files, or so unstable that your motherboard cannot POST without a CMOS Clear.
