Hi, my laptop is having all sorts of problems. It began about a month ago, possibly more. (I just finally attempted system restore but only goes back 10 days ago, and I don't have a windows install disc, one didn't come with my laptop).

Anyway the issues began while I was playing Sims 3 on my laptop (Windows 7, Samsung laptop). It would just freeze. And the only way to turn it off would be to hold down the power button. Since that first happened, it won't stop! It happens after about 5-10 minutes of computer use, regardless of what I'm doing. I can not touch the laptop for about 5-10 mins after its been turned on, attempt to use it and it's crashed.

The only forms of error message's I've received are:
* When I pressed ctrl-alt-del (which usually just wouldn't open) instead of opening i got a pop up saying: 'Failure to display security and shut down options:
The logon process was unable to display security and logon options when ctrl=alt=del was pressed. If the operating system does not respond, please press ESC or restart'

* When managing to turn off the computer by pressing shut down, after a long time waiting to shut down it said it was closing Task Host Manager. This has happened twice (I mention as maybe there is a problem with that?)

*Yesterday after turning on my laptop and not using it straight away, when I returned, I print screened the error message but the laptop crashed before I could paste/save it, but it was a pop-up that said something about the SWMA.agent not being able to open or something.

You would think I just have a virus, I have used the programs
*AVG
*Kaspersky
*Malwarebytes

All were unable to find ANY problems at all.

I've done disk defragment, disk cleanup and CCleaner. The first two offered really temporary fixes. After doing them both for the first time I thought I had fixed my laptop as the next time I used my laptop it worked smoothly for a few hours and managed to turn it off successfully. But then once turning it back on it started crashing again.

I've cleaned out all the dust on the inside of the laptop with an air compressor. Temporary fix for a few hours. I noticed that when the problems
started I'd been in Power Saving mode, once turned to High Performance once again got a temporary fix but next time I turned it on was crashing again. I saw a comment on a Microsoft website, went into Command Prompt and reset Winsock, did nothing. I've analysed my Task Manager to see programs running, google'd the names to find anything suspicious and couldn't find anything that didn't seem to be alright.

My personal next steps are to uninstall the Sims 3, as this was when the problems started and I fear I could have picked up a virus from downloading Custom Content, however I'm sure this won't make a difference but I will try that now.

Oh and the only way I've managed to put this on this forum is my laptop works perfectly fine in Safe Mode. Which says to me none of the base Windows programs are damaged? I'm currently on Safe Mode with Networking and everything works fine.

I'm really at a loss of what to do next!! This was an expensive laptop (I've had for around 2 years now) and really can't afford for it to break! Please offer any solutions if you have any! (Can't system restore far enough and have no windows disk.)
