So yesterday morning i went to check my pc i left something downloading overnight. The PC had shutdown by itself .Tried to start it up .....NO POST.I did the cmos thing the battery thing to no avail.I check the power supply and the processor in another PC.They both work.So i thought the problem as with the board.I was on the phone with Asus filling out an RMA when i decided to press the power button .... it suddenly post.I did nothing special it just decided to POST.I hung up the phone and put everything back in and it was working fine.So i decided to see if i could recreate the problem this time i just left my pc on and went to sleep. When i woke up this morning IT WOULD NOT POST.FYI i using windows 7+ i never updated the bios(never had a problem)

ok i have an update to my situtation. It seems i only get Post activity when i take out the cmos battery and put it back in.Thing is the performance was horrible.Freezes and hangs ups even at boot logo sometimes i get a black screen with a cursor. When i did get it to boot fully sometimes the keyboard and mouse would stop working.Im not sure what is going on!!!! Now it's not posting again.

Had the same problem with mine a while back, left it unplugged with the motherboard battery out for 30 mins then put it all back in and it worked again. It's windows 7 sleep mode and hibernate that seems to do it (bad win 7 power management), I disabled a few of the power saving features in the bios settings and it seems to have resolved the problem.
