Is my monitor compatible with my GPU?

I am building my first computer. Unfortunately, I don't have money for a TV with a resolution of 1920x1080 (and maybe not even with a smaller resolution). So I will use my old TV for a while.

The thing is my old TV only supports VGA for input and has a maximum resolution of 1024x768. I will buy a good TV after when I have money for it, but for now I can't do it. My graphics card is a MSI R9 270X Gaming, it doesn't have a VGA output, but it does have a DVI-I and a DVI-D and the package comes with an adapter.

Will everything work? I know the resolution is really low, but it's not permanent, it's just temporary.

Thanks.

No huge difference, up to 1080.
One is the signal itself.
With digital, you either get the signal with no interference,or no signal at all. It is just 1 and 0s.
Analog can have interference, but as I'm sure you have experienced, it is a minor problem, to none.

Most won't see any difference.

I know a monitor is better than a TV. But the display won't be just for the computer, it'll also have my PlayStation and the TV cable connected. If it wasn't for that, I would definitely go for the monitor, but I need the TV for the rest.

What digital benefits are you mentioning? Does it make a huge difference?

Thanks for your help. ;)

I guess I will stay with the old TV for now, and when I have enough money I will buy a new one with higher resolution and with HDMI or if possible DVI port.

Again, thank you for your time, you really helped.
